Art Anacker - memory creator, story teller and family man. In times of need, he was there to help others. He had a happy-go-lucky personality and paired it nicely with a big warm smile. Art was a hero in the eyes of many, someone to look up to, a hard worker, a provider, a protector, a shoulder to cry on and a friend to laugh with. He was strong - until he watched the Notebook or a sappy lifetime movie. He was athletic - strolling the continual streets of Disney like a champ. He trekked the fairways of the captivating Floridian golf courses effortlessly. He maintained a youthful spirit and found great joy in spending time with Mary Margaret and family. In his final years, Mary Margaret's love provided a happy, fulfilled and quality lifestyle for Art and his love for her ran deeper than the oceans divide. Together, they seamlessly conquered life and filled it with world wide adventure. Art leaves behind his wife, Mary Margaret McKissick; four beautiful children, Angel, Katy (Ty Carlson), Nathan (Chrissy), and Amy Jo; grandchildren, Alexis, Hunter, Elle, Tate, Julianna, Landyn, and Miracle. He had a unique bond with each individual child that was both special and immense. Family was everything to Art. Life will never be the same without him. Graveside service 11:30 AM Thursday, December 31 at ELMHURST CEMETERY, 1510 N. Dale St. St. Paul.
