Aurel LaVonne Jacobson

Aurel LaVonne (Littlejohn) Jacobson of Shoreview, MN, passed away February 15, 2025 with family at her side.

Aurel was born January 17, 1931 in Glasston, ND, and married Gordon Jacobson on August 17, 1952 in Grafton, ND. Aurel graduated from Grafton High School. One of her proudest accomplishments in High School was being the lead drum majorette of her marching band in the Rose Bowl parade. Following high school, she graduated from Stephen College in Columbia, MO.

Aurel was employed in various fields while raising her two sons. She was a brilliant lady who worked as an executive secretary for many years at the University of MN library.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and sister, Bonnie Lykken.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Jacobson and Paul Jacobson (Jane); grandchildren, Jennifer Clark (Jonathan) and David Jacobson (Caroline); great-grandsons, Cole Allen Clark and Jack Gordon Jacobson; and brother, Charles Nelson (Marlys).

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 24 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B. Visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 AM Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Accent Care Hospice and North Heights Lutheran Church.
