Age 93 of Roseville, passed away on March 24, 2025.
Barbara Ann Gurney was born in Lockport, New York on May 11, 1931. She was brought into the kingdom of grace on June 7, 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport. Barb was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Edward Brockmann and Richard S. Gurney; and brother, David Scheunemann, of Sanborn, New York.
Survived by children, Patricia (Michael) Gemperle, David (Nancy) Gurney, Steve (Barbara) Gurney, John (Margie) Gurney, Kathleen (Joel) Pinnt, and Gretchen (Joel) Weerts; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, March 28 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2330 N. Dale St., Roseville. Visitation from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.

Barbara was a former teacher at Gethsemane Lutheran School in Maplewood. A few of the crafts she loved were ceramics, knitting and sewing. Barb made countless hats, mittens, and scarves for Mitten Makers. For 40 years she spent her Monday mornings at the Chaplain’s office at Regions Hospital. Barbara served many funeral dinners at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, American Brain Foundation, or Concordia Academy.
