Barbara J. Westpfahl

Nee Grim​Beloved Friend, Educator​Passed away on July 16, 2017. She was born on June 8, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa and  was the first of five children. She moved to St. Paul, MN to pursue her education at Concordia College in 1965. Barb served her community for over 40 years as a school teacher at Central Lutheran School; in St. Paul and avid member of her church. Throughout her lifetime, her love, stories and laughter touched the hearts of countless individuals. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; son, Mark (Jennifer); grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew; siblings, Paula (Frank) Sanders, Joyce (Marty) Westen and John (Peggy) Grim; many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dorothy Grim; sister, Sheryl (Don) Lewis.  Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, July 22 at JEHOVAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1566 Thomas Ave., St. Paul. Visitation at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ Co. Rd B. on Friday from 4-8 PM and at the church from 10 – 11 AM Saturday.
