Barbara M. LeGrand

Our beautiful Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on March 13th, 2021. Barbara was born on September 3rd, 1932 to Homer & Mildred Smythe. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Elwood (Dutch) LeGrand; son; Michael LeGrand; and siblings Issie Kelly, Betty Rogstad, Marlene Haugesag-Gardner, Sandy Smythe, and Bob Smythe. Barbara was the fourth of ten children: seven sisters and two brothers. She is survived by daughters, Pamela (David) Kirschling and Lorriann (Kirk Berglund) Bergren; son, Dennis LeGrand; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Petrofski, Bill (Flo) Smythe, Pat Parks, and Joan Johnson; and nieces & nephews. Our mom was the most beautiful lady inside and out. Always willing to lend a helping hand and reach out to anyone in need. She loved her family with her whole heart. There are not enough words we can say to describe just how important our mother was to us and what a powerful influence she will continue to be in our lives. Barbara was not only our mom, but she was also our best friend, grandma sugar, a storyteller, and a shoulder to cry on. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
