Beth R. Swanson

On August 8, 2019, Beth went to be with her Heavenly Father, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Merton & Jessie Houck; sister, Jeanette Vigstol; brother, Dan Houck, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Houck.

She is survived by husband, Dave; daughter, Anne (Tim) Hayden; stepdaughters (bonus daughters!), Christie (Jeff) Lasch, Stefanie (Greg) Straka, Melanie Swanson; grandchildren, Kennedy, Piper & Paul Lasch and Cole, Lacey & Mallory Straka.

Beth was a member of Roseville Covenant Church and enjoyed being part of her church family. She also worked for 30 years at Children’s Hospitals & Clinics of MN taking care of premature infants and their families. She loved being one of their educators and spent half of her time educating her staff (work family!).

Funeral service 10:30 AM Thursday, August 15 at Roseville Covenant Church, 2865 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville. Visitation 5-7 PM Wednesday at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. @ County Rd. B and also at church on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 AM.

Interment: Roselawn Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Children’s Hospital MN (neonatal), Project Purple or donor’s choice.
