Age 90, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully May 19, 2022.Betty was married to Lee Stai on November 8, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Together with their children, they moved around the country living the military life. Betty was employed as a food service worker for the St. Paul School District for many years. Betty is survived by her children, Larry (Laurie) Stai, Linda (Butch) Ziegler, Lonnie (Colleen) Stai, Loretta (Brian) Tollin and Leanne (Dave) Frantsi; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Laneia) Bolle; brother-in-law, Allen Stai; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; infant daughter, Lisa Ann, sisters, Rosie (Harold) Schneider, Fran (Duane) Rivard and Mary Kay (John) Ziegler; and in-laws, Fran (Ann) Stai, Glen (Carol) Stai, Earl (Marie) Stai, Orrin (Bertha) Stai, Bill (Phyllis) Stai, Vaughn (RuthAnn) Stai, Eunice Stai, Ilene (Bud) Shaker, and Avis (Hank) Kilde. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 24 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME - ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B, from 4-7 PM Monday, and at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Tuesday.
