Beverly Lou Carlson (née Hitzeman), age 85, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 12, 1939, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
A proud graduate of Central High School in 1956, Beverly worked in office roles at Brown & Bigelow and Rayette before marrying Larry Carlson in 1961. She then spent over 20 years working in data processing at the Ramsey County Courthouse, where her attention to detail and dedication earned her the respect of her colleagues.
Beverly’s passions extended far beyond her career. She deeply loved gardening, painting, baking, and creating stained glass artwork. She was also an avid animal lover, and her nurturing spirit was felt by all the animals in her care. Travel was another joy of hers, and Siesta Key, Florida, was her favorite destination. For nearly 40 years, she and her husband, Larry, made the annual trip there, where they cherished time together by the sea at their favorite condominium, El Presidente.
In her quieter moments, Beverly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved Diet Coke, Dove Chocolate, and her famous lemon bars, treats that brought her comfort that she often shared with loved ones. Above all, Beverly’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and her home was always a welcoming haven for family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Carlson; her son, David Carlson; parents, Harold and Mildred Hitzeman; and her brother, Glen Hitzeman.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon (Dave) Person and Nancy (Tim) Snyder; her beloved best friend, Marcia Shaw; and treasured grandchildren, Benjamin, Samantha, Ashley, and Jessica who brought her joy beyond words.
Memorial visitation to celebrate the life of Beverly Carlson will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home- Roseville, 2130 N. Dale Street (at County Road B).
