"Bev”
(Frisk) (Vannelli)
Mom passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was 94, born on September 30, 1929 to her Swedish and Norwegian parents William and Rosella Frisk, the eldest of five siblings raised on St. Paul’s East Side, and graduated from the former Washington High School at the tender age of 16.
In 1949 she married Ronald Vannelli. Over the next 27 memorable years they devoted themselves to raising a family of 7 children on 1056 Avon Street, rooted in the iconic Como Park Community.
After raising her family, she embarked on a rewarding 20+ year career as a legal secretary at Control Data Corp, where she eventually retired at the age of 72.
In 1976 she married Bruce Feldman. During their 47-year marriage they embraced life living on Lake Minnetonka and at their Florida condo at Lighthouse Point. Together they shared many beautiful sunsets and created lasting memories entertaining family and friends.
Mom was blessed with a long, healthy life, allowing her to witness the amazing legacy she helped create. She will be remembered as “Sweet Grandma Bev”, always an advocate for one’s wellbeing along with an unabating positive attitude. She cherished her friends & family, with particular pride and joy for her 61 grandchildren! Although her family will be her everlasting legacy, she will be affectionally remembered for her affinity for life’s little pleasures including chocolate, fancy shoes, crossword puzzles, romance novels, and of course everything Dairy Queen!
Though her presence will be missed, the memory of our beautiful Beverly Ann will be with us forever.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Feldman, and her 7 children: Ronnie Vannelli (Dar), Teri Boland, Greg Vannelli (Sue), Tom Vannelli (Teri), Mary Pat Mulally (Brian), Mark Vannelli (Erin), and Michael Vannelli (Laurie); her sisters, Pat Johnson and Delores Anderson; her brother, Richard Frisk; and the beloved two generations of 61 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Rosella Frisk; son, Richard; sister, Joyann Pitzen; first husband, Ronald Vannelli; son-in-law, John Boland; sisters-in-law, Gloria Silverman, Bonnie Frisk, and Arlene Vannelli; brothers-in Law, Howard Silverman, Gene Pitzen, Lonnie Johnson, Ray Anderson, and Roger Vannelli; nieces, Kristine Johnson-Sauer and Mary Lee Vannelli; and nephew, Mike Anderson.
