As a boy our brother, Bryan, spent countless hours exploring and playing in the woods both in Roseville and in Deerwood, Minnesota. He and his friends would construct dirt ramps to jump their bikes on and off of. Bryan learned how to build huts, hideouts, and tree forts to play Cowboys and Indians in. He used the forts to practice pretend army and hunting maneuvers as well as hiding from the neighborhood girls.

As a young teenager, he transitioned into dirt bikes and snowmobiles, all the while using the woods as his playground. Bryan loved to hunt and fish, and was happiest when spending time in nature. Although he was a quiet introverted man whose thoughts were not always obvious, his emotions ran deep and he possessed a strong love of family.

He was christened and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He grew up with meal and bedtime prayers. This is one of those prayers we shared as children:

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

God bless grandma, grandpa, mommy, and daddy, and everyone I love... God bless you dear brother.

Bryan is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alice Ebert; grandparents, August and Caroline Ebert; uncle, Ben (Ceil) Ebert; aunts, Betty (Andy) Anderson and Elaine (Mel) Veno; cousins, Sandi (Rich) Hausker and Greg Veno; and godfather, James Anderson.
