Carol Catherine Thone (née Hanratty, formerly Smith), age 76, of Little Canada, Minnesota, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edna Hanratty; and husband, Theodore (Ted) Thone.
She is survived by sisters, Janet Garcia and Margaret (Clarence) Michalko; nephew, Robert Garcia; niece, Cathy (Scott) Olson; many relatives and friends.
Carol retired from the State of Minnesota after many years in Public Safety and enjoyed an encore career working at Walmart in Inver Grove Heights.
Ted was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and enjoyed a career working for the United States Post Office. Ted was an active member of the Church of St. Patrick in Inver Grove Heights. He passed away in April of 2020.
A memorial service for Carol and Ted will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, 2130 Dale Street North, Roseville, MN 55113. Visitation from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Prayer service at 1:30pm with a reception to follow at Gabe’s Bar & Kitchen, 991 Lexington Pkwy N, Saint Paul, MN 55103.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
