Carole Jean Pfenning

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 4, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Lowell; and infant daughter, Mary.  Carole is survived by children, Lowell (Mary) Pfenning of Augusta, MO, Larry (Judy) Pfenning of Wyoming, MN, Michael (Karen) Pfenning of Zumbrota, MN, Patricia (Ron) Pfenning-Wendt, Shoreview, MN, Thomas (Kari) Pfenning, North Oaks, MN, and Kathleen (Ken) Kohler, White Bear Lake, MN; grandchildren, Scott, Paul, Katie, Jared, Sam, Jennie, Will, Brandon, Bryan, Kristine, Brittney, Rachel, Jacob, Wade, Joseph, John, Eric, Matthew, Lexi, Logan and Jake; great grandchildren, Liam, Lilly, Austen, Zoey, Adam, Declan, Paxton, Everett and Audrey; and brothers, Michael and Paul LaFrance. Carole was born on September 21, 1933 in Bismarck, ND, attended the University of North Dakota, married Lowell on June 8, 1954 and raised six children. She resided in Shoreview and was active in her parish, St. Odilia, a volunteer at Joseph's Coat and a member of St. Odilia's quilting club.  Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 10 at The Church of St. Odilia, 3495 N. Victoria St., Shoreview. Visitation at the church from 10-11 AM Tuesday.  Interment:  Private Memorials preferred to Joseph's Coat, 1107 7th Street W., St. Paul 55102 or the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota.
