Carol M. Strandquist (Tyler)

Age 84, of Maplewood, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.​Carol was born February 3, 1937 in St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold E. and Martha A. Tyler; great-granddaughter, Skylar Strandquist; husband, Michael David; and son, Eric Michael Tyler. She is survived by her son, David Scott (Tee) Strandquist, daughter, Diane Carol (David) Sell; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Carol’s employment over the years had one theme, emulating Jesus in all she did. She started at Northwestern Bookstore as a clerk and ended her career in Campus Ministry at the University of St Thomas. Her passion for Spiritual direction showed through her work at the Christos Center in Lino Lakes, MN. A special heartfelt thanks to Ecumen Hospice and the Seasons at Maplewood who cared for and surrounded Carol during her time there. They gave our Mother the love, attention and dignity she needed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Carol’s birthday, Thursday, February 3, 2022 at ROSEVILLE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1215 W. Roselawn Ave., Roseville. Visitation will be at the church from 2-3 PM Thursday with the service starting at 3 PM.Private interment was held October, 2021 at Roselawn Cemetery. Family is receiving memorials in Carol’s name.
