Carolyn went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2025 after a fourteen-year fight against multiple myeloma. She died peacefully surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by loving parents, Arnold and Myra Peterson; devoted husband of nearly 60 years, William “Bill” Francisco; and caring son-in-law, Ken Smith.
Survived by brother, Keith Peterson; sister, Jaci (Ron) Klick; daughters, Diane (Jay) Andrews and Denice Smith who were blessed beyond measure to have her as their mom; beloved grandchildren, Jaymes, Annabelle, Roselyn, Isaiah, and Isaac who called her Oma and enjoyed her showers of love.
Carolyn will be remembered for her steadfast faith and joy of the Lord. She was a loving and devoted wife to Bill. She relished the countless hours fishing with her Billy. She loved being a mom. She was supportive, encouraging and gave unconditional love. She delighted in her grandchildren and enjoyed every adventure with them. She was up for anything and loved to go on outings and trips.
Carolyn was a strong believer in prayer. If you are reading this, know that she very likely prayed for you. She had a servant’s heart and was always ready to lend a hand. She was hard working and enjoyed her career as a secretary for the federal government for over 40 years. She loved to cook and bake, especially apple pies for her Billy. She loved the satisfying and peaceful work of tending her beautiful garden.
She loved life and enjoyed each day to the fullest.
Thank you for leading the way. You will be sorely missed.
She will be interred next to Bill at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
Memorial service plans at North Heights Lutheran Church in Roseville are pending.
