Cary M. Swanson

Age 61, of Merrifield, MN.

Passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, after a 3-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Born September 28, 1958, to Richard and Beverly Swanson, Cary grew up in Roseville MN.

Cary worked at Deluxe Corporation for almost 25 years, where he met the love of his life, Lori Berglund. They married in 1987, and together they built a family with 5 children. In 2001, they moved to the Brainerd Lakes area to fulfill their dream of lake living, and he built a new career in the automotive industry.

Cary loved life, and had many interests.  Spending time with his family was always Cary's top priority and greatest love. He also loved being out on the lake, traveling, cars, boats, hockey, and remodeling houses.

Cary is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lori; his sons, Leigh (Sarah), and Luke (Annah); daughters, Amy (Scott) Haar, Brooke, and Erica;  5 grandchildren, Dylan, Leah, Zane, Reid, and Mabel; his mother, Beverly; brothers, Drew and Kyle (Brenda); sister, Kris (Dave) Hollrah;  and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard.

Memorial visitation 4-7 PM Saturday, September 26 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Dr. (Co Hwy 23). Private family service.
