Age 55 of Minneapolis, passed away on November 14, 2021.Preceded in death by mother, Patricia, and grandparents. Survived by father, Lowell; sister, Melissa/Missy (Matt) Cavanaugh; brother, Brent (Francine); girlfriend, Natalie Lenz; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday, November 18 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Drive (County Hwy 23). Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, November 19, ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 215 S. 8th Street, Minneapolis, with light refreshments to follow. The family is strongly encouraging those in attendance to wear masks. Chad received his Ph.D. at Harvard University and has been Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the University of Minnesota for over 20 years. He earned many professional accomplishments and awards. Chad loved live music, spent many nights at First Avenue in Minneapolis, and appreciated all sports. He loved the Boston Red Sox, spending time with his girlfriend and family, and could be spotted with his iconic mismatched black and white Converse shoes to symbolize peace.
