Charles Clifford Callahan, age 59, of White Bear Lake Minnesota, passed away on May 11, 2023 at the University of Minnesota East Bank Hospital.
Charlie was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 27, 1963 to Donald and Karen Callahan.
He is survived by his sons, Alex (Kaiti) Callahan, Jared Callahan (Nicole); grandchildren, Charlotte, Ivy and Brody; his loving girlfriend, Barbara Walek; brother, Scott Callahan; father, Donald Callahan; and mother, Karen Foreside.
He was preceded in death by wife, Melissa Callahan, a woman whom Charlie loved unconditionally for 18 years prior to her passing in 2020.
Charlie was a devoted father and man who never ceased to support and love those closest to him. He was also a proud Air Force Veteran who served 10 years of active duty, earning the Meritorious Service Medal which is typically reserved only for senior leadership. His drive, motivation, and selflessness as a young man carried over into his adulthood. He loved and cared for his family above anything else. He was selfless in his care for others, placing their needs before his own. His unwavering resolve was felt across all aspects and relationships in his life. His influence will undoubtedly continue to impact those he interacted with and cared for and he will be missed dearly.
A celebration of Charlie's life will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, May 16 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd. B. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Tuesday.
Graveside service 1:30 PM Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. So., Minneapolis. (Please arrive by 1:15 PM at Assembly Area #6) To find Assembly Area #6, please enter the cemetery through the second entrance labeled "Funeral Assembly Areas" and proceed directly to Assembly Area #6.
