Charles Edward "Chuck" Wollmering, a resident of Green House Village, Roseville, formerly of St. Paul, and born and raised in Hastings, MN. Chuck passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2024 surrounded by his family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, papa, pop, teacher, SPPS principal, Metro State Adjunct Professor, and coach.
Preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Charles; sister, Karleen; and brother, Larry.
Survived by his wife and best friend of nearly 43 years, Mary; children, Joe (Jennifer), Matt, Michael (Kara), and Katie (Conrad Nordman); grandchildren, Simon Charles, Emerson Frances, and Elsie Jane; sister, Cathy (Jerry) Muntifering; sister-in-law, Rose (Bill) Bauman; many nieces and nephews, and some great friends.
Chuck was a humble, faith-filled man, who loved coaching youth and high school sports, taking drives to explore new places, playing cards, watching sports with his sons, fishing with his daughter, and delighting in the antics of his sweet grandchildren, frequently quoting them. He was known for telling a good joke. He was also a mentor to many on and off the court and field and in the classroom. His greatest love was his family, which he showed through his selfless gifts to them. The world truly lost one of the good guys.
