A veteran, and long- time resident of Circle Pines, Charlie passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 4, 2022.  After serving in the Air Force, he attended St. Paul Area Technical - Vocational Institute and was employed by Sperry Univac/ Unisys for 30+ years as a wire wrapping machine operator. He was very proud of his affiliation with St. Joseph Church, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Charlie enjoyed all the MN sports teams with a fondness for the Minnesota Twins. Nothing put a smile on Charlie’s face more than the anticipation of the fishing opener where he enjoyed fishing off the dock for walleye (rock bass) at the cabin. Woodworking and his fine eye for detail (Charlie’s way), was a good combination for many fine pieces of furniture throughout the house. Loving husband, father, & grandpa who was known for his quick wit, voice of reason, soccer cheerleader, always in a hurry “places to be things to do”, games of Rummy and Cribbage. He will be missed!!  Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly; daughter, Lori; son, Michael (Heather); grandson, Andrei ; his sisters, Martha (Gene) Fischer and Marcie Buirge (Wayne Pieske).  Preceded in death by his parents, Frank Chalupnik and Olga Tuhy; stepmother, Catherine Chalupnik. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM on Tuesday, February 1st at ST. JOSEPH OF THE LAKES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 171 Elm St, Lino Lakes.  Visitation at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday.Private Interment.
