Following her courageous battle with kidney cancer, Christine Clare Juelich, age 75, surrounded by loving family, passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2024, in Silver Bay MN. Born on January 13th, 1949, in St. Paul MN, Chris was the daughter of Frank (Bill) and Clare Thul.
Chris attended St. Agnes High School and graduated in 1967. She later went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Catherine University in 1991 dedicating her career as a project manager for Unisys Corporation until her retirement.
Chris married her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Juelich, in 1968 while Bill served in the United States Air Force through 1980. Together, they raised two incredible children: Daniel "Dan" and Jennifer.
Chris was known for her tenacity and attention to detail. She and Bill spent countless weekends at their cabin on Lake Shamineau with family and friends. She enjoyed being with her grandkids, crafting, and baking – in fact, her homemade caramel corn was a sought out treat at every family Christmas.
Chris is survived by her children, Dan and his wife Amy, and Jennifer and her husband Troy; along with her 6 grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Stephanie, Jackson, Thomas, Brittany, Dominique, and Brandon and his wife Defne, and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Micah, Morgan and Creed. She is also survived by her two sisters, Rose Ann Krech and Pam Thul-Immler; four brothers, Jeff, Joe (Anne), Rick (Rachel) and Peter (Lori) and her brother-in-law Ralph Buche.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Clare; her loving husband, Bill; her sister; Therese Buche; and brother-in-law, Larry Krech.
Chris was known for and prided herself on her love of dogs. During her final days, she found comfort cuddling with three little stuffed puppies. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider adopting a rescue animal or contributing to the fight for curing all cancer.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words during this difficult time. Chris' spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
