Of Roseville, passed away peacefully at home December 20, 2020. Born 8-8-1931 in Worthington, MN to John H. and Esther K. Benson.  Preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Mareileen, and daughter, Jo Ellen; parents, John & Esther; and siblings, Mary Ellen Tripp, Jay, & Glenn. Survived by daughter, Paula (Charles) Brown; sons, Gregory, Jeffrey (Sheila), John (Debra), William, & Roger; sisters, Beverly Gulbranson & Joyce Ohlsen; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Served his country in the Korean Conflict, graduated from the University of Minnesota, and went into the dairy business with his father. He remained in the dairy field until his retirement. Clarence enjoyed his family get-togethers, watching his family participate in all activities, and his sports in general. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Wednesday, December 30 at ST. ROSE OF LIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2048 N Hamline Ave, Roseville. Visitation at the church from 9:30-10 AM Wednesday. Clarence will be privately interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Memorials preferred to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.
