David F. Backstrom

David F. Backstrom, age 74, passed away March 26, 2025.

Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Viola; and sister, Janice.

Survived by wife, Mary Beth; children, Jennifer (Jim) Stafki, Rebecca (Shawn) Stafki, Amy (Bill) Gieser, Karen (Tony) Stafki, and Brian Backstrom; 33 grandchildren; sister, Margie Thoele; many nieces and nephews.

David was a jack of all trades, and a master of most.

He took great pride in his work, which is reflected in his care for the past 25 years during restoration, renovation and maintenance of the chapel and rectory.

Services will be held Saturday, March 29 at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, 875 Manomin Ave., St. Paul. A Rosary service will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. 

Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Oak Grove, MN at 1:30 PM.
