Delvert D. Oftedahl

Age 83 - Passed away peacefully on July 27, 2018. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 60 years, Lena; parents, Christopher and Beulah; sisters, Elaine and Lois; brothers, David, Don and Gary.   Survived by children, Colleen, Karl, Richard (Paulette) and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Shawn, Brittney, Brianna and Michael.; great-grandson, Oliver Johnson.   Funeral service 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 1 at LYNGBLOMSTEN CARE CENTER CHAPEL, 1415 Almond Ave., St. Paul with visitation starting at 4:30 PM.  Interment 12 Noon Thursday 8/2 at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Eagle Bend, MN.   Delvert was born in Bertha, MN  then moved to St. Paul when he was 18.  From 1960 to 2014 he lived in Lake Elmo. He worked at MnDOT 35 years and retired as an engineer. Delvert enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a wonderful, kind and patient man.
