Preceded in death by husband, Wendell Anderson.
Survived by children, Lance (Lorrie), Dale (Carin), and Wendee; grandchildren, Olivia, Lukas, and Linnea; other family and friends.
Dolores was an award-winning baker with over 848 prize ribbons to prove she baked some of the best cookies, cakes, pies, and breads in Minnesota by entering the county and state fairs for 64 continuous years. She enjoyed entertaining and sharing her baking with family, friends, and neighbors. She considered a good dessert to be an essential part of every meal, “always save room for dessert!”Traveling was also a strong interest for Dolores. She loved going on family vacations throughout the US. In retirement, she and her husband Wendell traveled to destinations around the world including Sweden, Ireland, Philippines, and Australia. She and Wendell also traveled to Arizona as snowbirds and in the summers they enjoyed traveling with a camping club. In later life, she loved spending time with her grandchildren on weekend travel trips.Dolores was especially proud of her Swedish heritage and loved all things Swedish, including church basement Lutefisk dinners! In her mind, anything Swedish had to be good.
As a very social person, Dolores made friends easily and never wanted to miss an opportunity to be with people she knew or to make new friends. She was a kind and caring friend who placed great importance on maintaining treasured friendships from all stages of her life. Missing Dolores will continue to be a reminder of all of the joy she brought to her family and friends.A special thank you to the Bonaventure community where Dolores lived for 29 years. In her final years and months, they were especially supportive in making it possible for her to live out her wish of living independently in her home that she loved. A funeral service for Dolores will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20 at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, 3115 N. Victoria Street, Roseville. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, following a luncheon at the church. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 – 11:00 AM Saturday.
