Donald Eugene Rupp, Age 75 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 3, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.Donald was born in Webster, SD to Raymond and Mabel. His father was a pastor in several churches during childhood and teen years. He also lived in Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota. In 1963, he graduated from high school in Valley, NE where he was active in speech and drama activities.After high school he went to Saint Paul Bible College for 2 years, where he met Linda, who later became his wife. In 1966 he was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Presidio, California near San Francisco. He trained as a Military Police, but then became the chaplain’s assistant until he left the army in 1968.Within a month of leaving the army he married his sweetheart Linda in Robbinsdale, MN. God blessed Don and Linda with 41 years of marriage and three children Jeff (Laura), Pam (Charles), and Mark (Kristyn). A few years after Linda passed away he married Marlene and added her children, Sharalee and David (Kelly) to his family. Grandchildren Connor, Emma, Darin, Ashley, and Elianna brought joy to his life. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed every minute spent with them. He started at KTIS radio in 1970 as a staff announcer. Over his 44 year broadcasting career he served as assistant manager, manager, and network news director for KTIS and Northwestern Media. As the voice of the Faith Report, he shared the news of the day and stories of God at work locally and around the world. Don touched many lives as an encourager, spiritual mentor, and teacher. He was always active in church serving in many different ways. His gentle spirit shared the love of Jesus with everyone he met.
