Donna Rae Mary Peterson

 Age 91.​Donna Rae Mary Peterson of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023.  Born in St. Paul, MN to Jens and Agnes Sigvartsen, she lived her life in the Twin Cities - a true Norwegian at heart who never missed an opportunity to enjoy a lutefisk dinner. She was a talented musician and loved playing the piano for others. She was a dedicated and creative homemaker, raising five children and countless adored family pets. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Round Lake and loved to downhill ski, enjoying many ski vacations in Colorado.  Donna Rae is survived by her children, Todd, Peter, Heidi, and Ned (Diane); four grandchildren, Hannah, Adam, Madison, and Samantha; and one great-grandchild Maxx. She was known as Nannie to her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Joel; parents; brothers, Gene and David; sister, LaVaughn. A special thanks to Dr. A, St. Croix Hospice, and to the staff at Cardigan Ridge Memory Care for their care and support.  There will be a private ceremony held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
