Doru V. Posteuca

Age 81, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021, in his home surrounded by his wife of 48 years and his sons.​ Doru was a loyal husband who valued family and faith. He was born in Cernauti, Romania, and studied engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. He immigrated to Boston, MA when he was 30 years old. It was there he met and charmed his wife, Una. He later settled in Chicago and eventually in Minnesota, where he and his wife raised their five sons.​ Preceded in death by his father and mother, Vasile and Zamfira Posteuca.​ He is survived by his loving wife, Una; sons, Gabriel, Andrew, Peter (Maria), John (Nicole), and Matthew (Natalie); grandchildren, Michael, Liesl, Sophia, Maria, Olivia, William, Joseph, Monica, Isaiah, Jacinta, Nicholas, Therese, and James; his sister, Doina (Alexis) Vircol; nephew, Alexandru (Samantha) Vircol; and extended family and friends.​ A Mass of Christian Burial be held on Monday, January 25 at 10:30 AM at THE CHURCH OF SAINT AGNES, 548 Lafond  Avenue, Saint Paul. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery in St. Paul.
