Doug was born October 2,1948 in Marshfield WI to Evelyn Louise (née Marti) and Harold Frank Damm. He grew up in Stetsonville, WI, went to Medford High school and graduated in 1966. Doug was a very hard worker and was the recipient of many top sales awards.
As his kids grew up, he was very involved. He helped them with projects, ran lights for his sons’ band shows and he was known to accompany them to rock concerts. He had a celebratory, fun nature which came out in decorating over the top for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day.
In the 1980s, Doug and his family joined a Charismatic Prayer Group where he took up guitar. The prayer group catapulted his faith. It has grown especially more in recent years and has shown through his times of praying with us and giving us encouraging faith filled thoughts for our families.
Doug enjoyed attending his grandkids’ sporting events, getting ready for “Grandpa’s Christmas” and for his crazy 4th of July extraordinary fireworks displays. He was a Vikings fan, liked documentaries, Sci Fi and staying up on Current Events.
