Duane W. Eckart

Loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa, passed away peacefully at age 76, surrounded by family, on February 22, 2018. Duane was born on August 22, 1941 to Henry & Eloise Eckart, and was the oldest of three boys.  He served in the Army as a member of the 181st Signal Co., and served in Korea stationed near the DMZ. On May 17, 1964, Duane married the love of his life, Jo Ann Drulenski, in Hudson, Wisconsin.  They enjoyed 53 years of marriage and had five children.​For many years, Duane owned his own sheetrock business; his work can still be seen in many homes in the area.   Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eloise; brothers, Henry and Ted; and infant son, Darrel. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; children, Dean Eckart, Darren (Cyndi) Eckart, Gidget (Eric) Casiday & Lee (Sena) Eckart; 11 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Drive (County Highway 23).  Interment at Morningside Memorial Gardens.  Visitation on Friday 3/2 from 4-8 PM and Saturday 3/3 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
