Edward George Zoerb, age 93, of Roseville, passed away on July 6, 2023, surrounded by family.
He was born to parents, George Louis and Lillian Francis Jane Zoerb on April 17, 1930, in Minneapolis, MN.
Ed graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1948. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1953; and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1963.
Ed served in the Army as a Topographic Instructor at Ft Belvoir, Virginia from 1954 to 1956. He worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford Connecticut from 1951 to 1954, Diginamics Corp from 1961 to 1963, a couple years at Solar Energy Research Institute, and most of his career at Honeywell where he earned 4 patents and retired in 1988 at the age of 58. After retiring, Ed volunteered as an arbitrator; and worked on an invention to ensure drivers stayed attentive on the road.
He was a very intelligent, kind, and caring husband, father, grandparent and friend. Ed enjoyed flying, sailing, photography, yearly fishing trips, family and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Kristina (Tina) of 31 years; his children, Linda, Dale (Nancy), Sandra (Scott), and Cynthia (Greg) from his first marriage, step-children Jason and Justin, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family. Ed was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother, Richard; and sister, Irene Paone of Seattle, Washington.
Memorial service 10:00 AM Friday, July 14 at New Life Presbyterian Church, 965 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville. Visitation at the church from 9-10 AM Friday. Luncheon to follow the service. Burial for family at 2:00 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
