Elizabeth “Beth” A. (Engstrom) Doucette, 86, of Fridley, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1938, in Duluth, MN.
Beth graduated from Proctor High School in 1956. She married Burton Doucette in 1959, and lived in Minnesota, Alaska, and North Dakota. Most of her last 30 years were spent in Lino Lakes, MN. She retired from State Farm in 2008.
She was a cheerful person with an upbeat attitude. Beth enjoyed camping, traveling, and gathering with friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family was her greatest joy.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Lydia and Clarence Engstrom, and birth father, Lorenz Claussen; sisters, Jeroldyn “Gerrie” Wagner, and Gwen Holter; daughter,
Debrah Wenzel; son, Daniel Doucette; and great-granddaughter, Mila Hubble.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Burton Doucette; son, David (Betsy) Doucette of Forest Lake, MN; grandchildren, Nicholas Olson, Christopher Wenzel, Amber Hubble, Danielle Templeton, Betty Ellis, Elizabeth “Liz” Doucette, and Ivy and Violet Doucette; great-grandchildren, Magdalena “Maggie” Aldrich, Rory, Seath and Ollie Hubble, Julian and Zaiden Pulido-Barajas, Raena Templeton, Alexis Cook, and Anders Ellis.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the 11:00 AM Memorial Service, Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, 7050 Lake Drive (County Highway 23), Lino Lakes, MN.
A reception with food and drinks will be held, immediately after the service, just down the road, at the American Legion, 7731 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
