Elizabeth L. Jones

Age 72, of Shoreview, passed away on September 5, 2023 after a long struggle with multiple illnesses.

Betty was born on May 3, 1951 at Bethesda Hospital and grew up in the North End / Rice St. area and attended St. Bernard's Grade and High School (Class of '69).

In her younger years, Betty was very active in sports, playing softball, women's football, bowling, and being an umpire.

In her later years, she enjoyed family trips to Las Vegas, bingo nights, MN casinos and listening to live bands at various venues. She also loved watching her MN Lynx and MN Vikings.

Betty enjoyed Sundays with her church group friends at St. Agnes Church. She was a very giving person.

She was preceded in death by parents, Patrick J. and Dolores (née Holly) Jones; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Zschokke.

Betty is survived by her sisters, Mary (Don) Stock, Dolores Zschokke; brother, Patrick (Kathy) Jones; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins and many long-time friends.

A special thanks to Dr. Theresa Wollan for her care of Betty over the years.

Betty, you are finally free and will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 12 at the Church of St. Agnes, 535 Thomas Avenue W., St. Paul.

Inurnment Roselawn Cemetery.
