Eugenia Feld

Eugenia Feld, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law lovingly at her side on April 18, 2025, in Oakdale, Minnesota. She was 94 years old.

Born in Jordanów, Poland, on February 12, 1931, Eugenia grew up during the hardship and upheaval of World War II. Despite those early trials, she carried an unshakable strength and quiet resilience throughout her life. After the war, she moved to Kłodzko, Poland, where she began building the life that would eventually lead her across the ocean. In 1970, she and her family immigrated to St. Paul, Minnesota, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future, later she settled in Chaska, MN.

Eugenia was a tireless worker, continuing to work well into her 80s- a testament to both her work ethic and her independent spirit. However, will be remembered best for her open heart. She was endlessly hospitable, with a home that was always warm, welcoming, and spotless. Her cooking was legendary- meals that brought people together, put a smile on your face, and left you with a feeling of belonging. She was the very definition of devotion: a widow for 44 years after the passing of her husband, Leon; and a matriarch who anchored her family through decades of change, joy, and loss.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Feld; daughters, Lilianna Feld & Ursula Peterson; parents, Anna and Józef Sulkowski; siblings, Aniela, Jan, and Stefania. She is survived by her son, Aleksander (Catherine) Feld; daughter, Grazyna (Joseph) Tretter; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Megan) Peterson, Eric (Lindsay) Feld, Ryan (Allison) Peterson, Aaron (Alyssa) Tretter, Andrew (Stephanie) Feld, Emily (Jonathan) Nordick, Christopher (Elizabeth) Tretter, and Savannah (Ayden) Walter; Twelve great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Eugenia's life was a beautiful story of strength, love, and service to others. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, perseverance, tradition, and an unshakable commitment to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 29 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 Dale Street N. St. Paul. Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
