Francine V. Stephenson, of St. Paul, was freed from her arduous battle with cancer on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Born in Moorhead, MN and moving to St. Paul in her childhood, she always felt blessed to have found her best friend, lover, and husband as a teenager. She transitioned peacefully to the immaculately kept North End home where she and Bill raised their three boys.
Francine enjoyed creating a warm, loving home that was known for her amazing chocolate chip cookies (like “Friends” the recipe was on the bag, but no others ever matched her execution – her theory that she added love to achieve the gastronomical delights she produced has never been disproven) and the elegant wall décor (including external garage walls) she used to help make her oasis warm and inviting. Those who visited found the comfort, love, and great company provided made hours go by in mere minutes – and while not invented by her…the “Minnesota Goodbye” was employed to perfection (“just one more, honey”) by Francine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verna and Frederick Larson; her beloved twin brother, Freddie; and sisters, Aloha (Waller), Sherrie (Wassick), Maureen (Breiland), and Kristine Larson. She is survived by her husband, William; sons, Jerod (April), Dustin (Lea), and Cody (Tara); grandchildren, Sebastian (Hannah), Elaina, Gavin, Hailey, Brianna and Louise, sisters, Sondra (Anderson), Jody (Larson), and Wendy Larson-Hickcox (Gary); and brother, Kirk Larson.Memorial service 11 AM Friday, July 1 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N.
