Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, & Great-Grandpa Age 85 of Circle Pines, passed away February 28, 2018. Preceded in death by wife, Patricia A. (nee Spannbauer); and brothers, Joseph Jr., James and Robert. Survived by children, Greg (Cindy), Doug (Diane), Gerri (Jeff) Krage and Patti (Larry Woods); grandchildren, Rachael, Kyle (Jami), Lisa, Samantha (Joshua), Guy, Cassandra, Nicole (Dan), Brandi (Zach) and Kiana; great-grandchildren, JP, Kylier, Stephanie, Christian, Josslynn, Cameron, Evangeline, Kylie, Lochlan and Eloize; siblings, Thomas (Pat), Rita Langer and William (Sandy); also nieces, nephews and friends. Gerald is a 61-year member of the American Legion Post 566 of Lino Lakes; he served on the Circle Pines volunteer Police Department from 1955 – 1959; was elected constable in Circle Pines from 1959- 1969; served as director for Civil Defense of Circle Pines for seven years and served on the Circle Pines volunteer Fire Department for 21 years, retiring in 1982; served on the North Suburban 4th of July committee; life member of American Legion & VFW; and member of 40/8 Voiture 390. Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 6 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Drive (County Highway 23). Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Monday and on Tuesday from 9:30 -10:30 AM.
