Harry Dean Palmer

Age 73 of Blaine, MN, Dean peacefully passed away on October 23, 2024 surrounded by family and friends after having battled Alzheimer’s for 18 years. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Bob and Norma. 

Survived by his wife, Patti; siblings, Dione, Doug (Diane), Don, Devawn Bledsoe; and other family members and friends. 

Dean was graduated from Tracy High School in MN in 1969 and afterwards attended St. Cloud State University. It was there he met his wife, Patti, and they were married January 2, 1971. Dean volunteered for the draft in 1970 and was stationed in Germany with the US Army. Patti joined him in Germany after their marriage and they lived there until 1972. Dean completed courses on cabinet making at Saint Paul Technical Vocational school. He enjoyed woodworking and kitchen remodeling for many years, first at Duffy’s Cabinets in St. Paul and in Georgia at Atlanta Cabinet Shop. Dean was a small business owner of a custom cabinet shop for over 30 years. Dean cherished 53 years of marriage to Patti and they loved to travel, visiting family and friends, both here and abroad. Through the years they enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, camping and cross-country skiing. He loved to stay active and he was an enthusiastic golfer. They moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family in 2015.

Funeral service 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St @ County Rd. B. Visitation from 12-1 PM Saturday.

Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
