Henry was a proud letter carrier for 31 years and loved talking to the people on his mail routes. He was gifted at remembering numbers and this served him well in his job. He was also a longtime MN State Fair employee at the Coliseum horse shows. He was proud of his family and worked extremely hard to provide for them. Henry and his cherished wife Merry Anne were married for 58 years, and he enjoyed sharing about their long-lasting marriage. He regularly attended Faith Lutheran Church in St. Paul and was dearly missed when he was no longer able to attend. He was an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying the Twins, Gopher football games, and hockey games. He loved to travel to places like Branson, St. Louis, Florida, and throughout Minnesota. He enjoyed exploring local attractions such as the MN State Fair, county fairs, Valleyfair, lakes in Minnesota, restaurants, malls, zoos, the Como Pavilion, the St. Paul Winter Carnival, and the Aquatennial. He loved attending parades where there were numerous bands performing. He enjoyed band music and especially listening to the Gopher Marching Band.
Henry had a great sense of humor and could make us laugh with some of his remarks. He was very loving and enjoyed giving hugs. His dedication to working hard inspired his family to be ambitious. He was boastful of his daughters’ and grandchildren’s accomplishments. We will miss him dearly.
