Iris Adrian Lier, born April 1, 1946 in Williamsburg, NY was a small but mighty woman. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, nana and dear friend.
Throughout her life and especially during the last several years, Iris consistently held a positive light around her and always wore a brave smile, adorned with perfectly colored lipstick.
Her loving husband and one true love Don, was her rock, walking beside her for 35 years. His love and care for Iris was steadfast and undeniable, and they never spent a day apart.
Iris loved to listen to everyone's stories and was such a loyal friend. She felt an immediate connection to everyone she met. She never judged and would always find the positive in any situation. She found joy in reading, loved the beach, her weekly Dairy Queen runs, nightly shows with Don in her recliner with epic snacks, and most importantly loved her family. Iris felt the most happiness when everyone was together.
Iris is survived by the love of her life, husband Don Lier, children Stephen and Heather Goldstein, Tara Goldstein and partner Anthony, Elissa Fielding and partner Mark, Dave and Nicole Lier and Karen and Bryon Tonnis. Along with her seven cherished grandchildren, Paige, Bella, Addy, Lucas, Mason, Liam and Mollie.
Iris is at peace now. No more pain and no more doctors, and she will forever remain in our hearts and souls. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Parkinson’s Foundation in her honor.
