James W. Black, Jr.

James W. Black Jr. was born June 23, 1974, to the union of James W. Black Sr. and Rose M. Black in Minneapolis, MN. James Jr. relocated to Marion, IN at the age of 2 and lived with his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Marcello Freshwater.

James attended Marion High School and was very active in sports at the boyz club in Marion. He attended church at an early age, and he realized God preserved his life for 49 years. James enjoyed traveling and visiting his family and friends.

James leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Rose M. Black; son, Kye James Black (Anna Gable) and grandson, Jasper Michael-James Black of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Tammie Brown of Tuscon AZ, Sharmain (Travion) Evans of New Hope MN, Shelly Reeves aunt/sister of Marion IN; uncle/brother, Joe Neifer of Minneapolis MN, Allen Freshwater of Minneapolis MN, James (Carolyn) Freshwater of Indianapolis IN, Andrew Fulisa Freshwater, Jessie Lee Freshwater, Jerry (Ashley) Freshwater, all of Marion IN; aunts, Annie Lenair of Marion IN, and Karol Taylor of Anderson IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Black Sr.; brother, Londale Black; grandparents, Marcello (Theola) Freshwater, and Willa Mae Black; and aunt/sister Deborah Winters.
