James M. Truitt

Jim passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023 at the age of 80.

He is preceded in death by cherished daughter, Chrissy.

He is survived by loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Jan; daughters, Connie (Rob) McKee, Jody (Greg) McElroy, Karen (Tom) Crawford; and son-in-law Frank Tschida. His grandchildren were the light of his world: Josh, Ally (Abe), Chad, Dani, Nicki, Cara (Jeremy) and Kelly. He is also survived by sister, Marlys Truitt; sister-in-law, Judie Carlson; nephew, Dan and niece, Lisa Carlson; in addition to many other close relatives and friends, and lifetime friend, Rich Schneider.

Jim was a devoted husband, a wonderful dad, and an amazing grandpa. He will be dearly missed.

A private service has been held, with a public celebration of Jim's life from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, September 28 at the Rosetown American Legion, 700 W. County Rd. C, Roseville, MN .

The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Harmony Gardens and Grace Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Jim and the family.
