James Michael Keister passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones on March 2, 2022. Jim was 71 years old. Preceded in death by his father, George Benjamin Keister and his mother, Elizabeth Louise Broadbent Keister. Jim is survived by his children, Nick and Jamie; his granddaughter Amelia; Nick & Jamie’s mother and dear friend, Laurie; her husband Kent; and Jim's 4 sisters, Sue, Pat, Jane and Mary. James earned a degree in Business and Marketing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Jim spent most of his adult life as a top salesman for HB Fuller company, where he was the recipient of 3 separate Inner Circle Awards for Sales and Service Excellence, a prestigious honor. He traveled around the world while under HB Fuller’s employ to places like Germany, the Dominican Republic, and South America. Jim greatly valued fellowship and was always ready to give a helping hand whenever needed. He had a heart of gold and a terrific sense of humor. Jim was an avid fisherman and passed his love of fishing down to his family. Jim and his children took numerous fishing trips to Canada over many years; enjoying Lake Kashabowie’s beauty and the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, and was always ready for adventure. He loved music. Jim played the harmonica, in earlier days played bass guitar, and sang vocals in his high school band- The Camaros. Visitation will be Friday, 4/29/22 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home at 7050 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, 4/30/22, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church at 171 Elm St in Lino Lakes. Visitation will be from 9:30am to 10:30am. At 10:30am there will be a Funeral Mass. A luncheon will follow at the Church. Family will attend the interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope after the luncheon.
