Janet K. Syring

Age 60 of St. Paul, passed away on April 26, 2021.​

Survived by her loving husband Jimmy; sons, Aaron (Tiffany), Chad (Nikki), Brent (Crystal), JimJim (Ashley), Jared (Vanessa); grandchildren, Clayton, Elaina, Savannah, Griffin, Gabriella, Sophia, Brody, Rylan, Olivia, Violet, James, Jet, Francesca & Phoenix; mother, Catherine Hildreth; brother, Michael (Linda) Loeffler; sisters, Betty Ann Dailey, Patty (Ken) Belko, Mary Jo (Jay) Syring; many brothers & sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, godchildren and great friends.  

Preceded in death by father, Kenneth Loeffler; and grandparents, Lottie & Ambrose.  

Special thank you to the staff at St. John’s Oncology for their tender loving care and compassion through the last 18 months, we could not be more thankful.

​Jimmy and Janet’s love story began when they were just 13 and 16 years old. They both knew they had found the “one” and never looked back. At such a young age Janet showed her conviction, drive and determination. A young Mother and married at 17, she had a vision for the future and showed the world what Love, Family, Sacrifice and Commitment looked like.​

As a Wife she accepted nothing but the best from Jimmy and created the Man and Father he is today. Just look at him. You see his pride . . you see Janet. You see his compassion . . you see Janet. You see his strength . . . you see Janet. You see Jimmy . . you see Janet.​

As a Daughter she forever Loved and Cared about the well-being of her Mother. Even from 1200 miles away. So much so that she insisted on bringing her back home. And that’s what she did. She flew out to California with Jimmy and a couple others and packed a complete house into a U-Haul in 3 days. Then they drove for days to bring her mother home. All the while concealing her sickness inside.​

As a Sister she rose to the responsibility of Unconditional Love. She would give her right arm to ensure their happiness. Leading by example, diving in headfirst to help, providing wisdom or just listening when they needed a friend. She did that till the day she went home to Jesus.​

As a Mother there is none other. At 16 she committed her Life to her calling. Ensuring that all of her children would know Love, feel Love, and see Love every day of their Lives. Her Sons and eventually her Daughters would know Courage. That they would know Hope. That they would know Strength. That they would know Sacrifice. That they would know the Lord. That they would know they could be or do anything they set their mind to. All these things that she lived and breathed into them until the last days of her life. This will stay with them for the rest of their lives.​

As a Friend she made sure each of them were better and stronger for knowing her. Stronger as a Mother or Father. Better as a Woman, a Man. Better as a Son or Daughter. Stronger as a Person. Whether it be their self-confidence or natural beauty she would bring it out of them. Kindness or Strength. Patience or Determination. She brought it out.​

Finally, as a Nana. The relationship with Grandchildren is Precious and they all knew it. All 14 of them. Always wanting to spend the night at Nana’s. She would kick Jimmy out of the bed so they could sleep with her. Whatever was special or important to them she made happen. She taught them that time spent with each other was the most important of all. Time Holding and Hugging. Time Talking and Teaching. Time Sharing and Giving. Time Loving and Learning. To always be Humble and Kind. 

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, May 13 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard St., Maplewood. 

Visitation at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. @ County Road B, from 4-8 PM Wednesday, May 12. 

Private interment.
