Age 91 ½, of Centerville, MN.
Very peacefully passed away August 14, 2022 surrounded by her sister and daughters.
Johanna was born in Minneapolis MN on January 4, 1931 to John C. and Maxine G. Whaley. She graduated from Minneapolis South HS in 1948. Johanna was married to Edson Weeks Jr. on April 20, 1951. They raised 3 children, Edson III, Candice, and AmyJo.
Johanna was a force to be reckoned with! Worked at Honeywell, Amy’s, Purity Dairy, was a travel agent for a good friend, Karen, Tupperware lady, bus driver and school board member for Forest Lake, realtor, and member of the Mayflower Society. This remarkable woman loved family and friends, and enjoyed playing bridge and Red Lobster; she will truly be missed by many.
Johanna is survived by sister, Maxine Baker; sisters-in-law, Judy and Kathy Weeks; brother-in-law, Richard (Aleda) Weeks; daughter-in-law, Roberta Weeks,; daughters, Candice (Randy) Kolbow and AmyJo (Charlie) Rothbauer; grandchildren, Tim (Kassie) Mosser, Tiffany (Reggie Revier) Weeks, Kristi Weeks, Ed Weeks IV, Melissa (Mitch) Marr, Susan Olson, Paul Bibb, Andrew Kolbow, Breanna Running, Amanda Rothbauer and George Castaneda; great-grandchildren, TJ, Max, Connor, Story, Scarlett, Grant, Gracie, Charlotte and Navy; several nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of amazing friends.
Special thanks to niece Pamela taking good care of Jo at Catholic Elder Care.
Jo is preceded in death by husband, Edson Jr; and son, Edson III.
Memorial service 1 PM Monday, August 22 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr. (County Hwy 23). The service will be streamed at muellerbies.com/livestreams. Visitation from 12 – 1 PM Monday. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Celebration of life at Friars in Forest Lake from 2-5 PM Monday.
