Age 77, of Woodbury, MN passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Pillars Hospice Home in Oakdale, MN. He battled Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism as best he could. It was the support of his wife, Fran, and his family that kept him going.Jack was born a St. Paul Eastsider. He attended Cretin High School and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. He worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and Supply Chain Manager at multiple corporations, including IBM, Control Data, and 3M. He retired from Cardinal Health in 2007. From there he went on to build his dream home in the country (St. Charles, MN) and was general contractor for the project. There he lived for ten years with his wife, Fran, and his “best buddy”, Annie, his Bernese Mountain Dog. Upon his diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism, it was time to move back closer to his children and family in the Twin Cities.He loved to go camping with his siblings, build things in his workshop and enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He lived and worked in California for a time and loved walking the beach.He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Tocko, as well as his brothers, Jerry and Larry Tocko. He is survived by his wife, Fran, his sister, Mary Jane Tocko and brother, Jim Tocko. Also survived by his children, Paul Tocko, Jennifer Ross, Laura (Kevin) Wooten and Dan (Kris) Tocko, as well as nine grandchildren, and former spouse, Jean Tocko.Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, October 8 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N.
