John Luis Cortez

Age 83, of St. Paul, passed away on August 22, 2020.  Preceded in death by parents, Petra Hernandez and Mauro Cortez; sisters, Annie Moreno and Angelita Lammers; brother, Rudy Cortez; and first wife, Svitlana Sloschynsky.  Survived by daughter, Natalie (Ronald); grandchildren, Arthur, Antonina (Bryan), Nicholas (Scott), Joseph and Sarah; daughter, Victoria (Terry) and grandchildren, Angela (Jesse), Sierra and Hunter and 7 great-grandchildren; daughter, Cassandra Cortez and her mother, Judy; brother, Thomas Cortez; sister, Rosa Alva; nieces and nephews: Annie’s children - David, Lupe, Rudy, Tom, Anita, Elena, Patricia, Patrick. Rosa’s children – Yolanda, Ray, Helen, John, Ramon, Joe, Tom, Ernie, Daniel, Monica. Angie’s children -Jeffrey (Andrea), Brian (Rebecca), Mark (Lisa), Rick and Christina (Todd); and many other family members.Memorial service 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 15 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N Dale St at Co Rd B. Visitation from 1-2 PM Tuesday.
