John Roland Nelson

Age 78 of Inver Grove Heights, passed away on February 1, 2022.

​Preceded in death by wife, Bernadine.   

Survived by wife, Rita; son, Christopher (Tamara); granddaughter, Willow; and siblings, Diane (Ron) Dupre, Marilyn Domeier, Judy (Rol) Altman, Tom (Audrey) Nelson, and Jim Nelson.  

John passed away peacefully at the Minneapolis VA Hospital with his family present.  

“Jack” was born in St. Paul, Minnesota where he worked hard and lived a good life with friends and family who surrounded him with love and special memories. An honorable man who proudly served his country. A proud truck driver in his early years traveling this great country. A man with metal and woodworking skills, “Jack” was always ready to help a friend and willing to lend a hand. Coffee with “Jack” will be missed.   

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, February 10 at The Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72nd Street E., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Road B, and also at church on Thursday from 10-11 AM.  Interment St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery.
