Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma.Age 94, of Lino Lakes. Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Vernon “Ben”. Survived by children, Robert (Bonnie), Marlys Shelby, Diane (Tom) Gluth, Steven (Lori), Joanne (John) Covlin, and Sue; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce (Douglas) Wurscher; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Josepha, also known as “Jeff”, was born near Wanda MN to William & Maggie Eichten. She taught country school for 3 years and married Vernon “Ben” Wurscher from Lucan MN in 1944. After farming a few years, they moved to St. Paul. Jeff was a homemaker and raised 6 children. When Ben retired in 1979, they moved back to Lucan where she was active at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and a lifelong member of American Legion Auxiliary 467. In 1996, they moved to Lino Lakes to be closer to “the kids”. She was a member of St. Joseph of the Lakes CCW and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed traveling to bowling events, and in 2003, visited Disney World. She truly had “a green thumb” and loved flowers and gardening. Her favorite pastimes were crossword puzzles, Scrabble, playing cards and visiting family. Josepha was devoted to the Blessed Mother & prayed the Rosary daily. Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul was her home for the past several years. Josepha loved old time music, the Glenn Miller big band sound, beer, popcorn and a good strawberry ice cream cone. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, February 2 at ST. JOSEPH OF THE LAKES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 171 Elm St., Lino Lakes. Interment St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery. Visitation at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Dr. (Cty Hwy 23) from 4-8 PM Thursday and at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
