Josephine Kinney

Of Roseville, went to her Lord on March 17, 2018. Josephine was born on March 19th, 1926 in Cumberland, Wisconsin to Louis and Cogetta (Montifusco) DeGidio on a farm with her eight brothers and sisters. After High School graduation she moved to St. Paul where she met Edward Anderson. They married and had two children. Edward died in 1960 leaving her the challenge of keeping a home and raising two pre-teens. In 1967 she married Les Kinney. They had a wonderful time together until he passed away in 1983. Josephine worked for Champion International for 14 years, then Target for 17 years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Little Canada for over 60 years and was a long time member of St. Anne’s Society.  She is survived by her children and their spouses Edward (Judy) Anderson, Judy (Les) Burshten, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Dorothy Patton, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters, grandson (Jimmy), Les Kinney and Edward Anderson.  Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 6 at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 380 E. Little Canada Rd. Little Canada.  Interment in St. John’s Church Cemetery.  Visitation 10-11 AM Friday at the church.  A special thanks goes out to Croixdale Assisted Living Center in Bayport, MN and to Lakeview Hospital Hospice which made this journey to heaven peaceful for Josephine, her family, and friends.
