Julie McFarlin (nee Olson)

This beautiful woman lost her battle with cancer on March 17, 2024 at age 81. She passed away peacefully at her home in Roseville with her sister by her side. 

Julie graduated from Moorhead High School in 1961. After high school, she moved to St. Paul where she studied Key Punch and began work with the Great Northern Railway. In 1963, she married Stan McFarlin, and they started the Lakeside Inn in Oakdale. They successfully ran the restaurant until 1984; after that, they ran two Subways. She later sold the Subway stores and then worked for Pillsbury and Johnson Controls. After retiring at age 67, she enjoyed pontooning at her lake home.

Julie will be greatly missed by her six surviving siblings, extended family, and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will take place this summer.
