He was very independent from a young age. He met Lorna in the first grade, and they started dating as sophomores in high school. He excelled in athletics and had a brief football career at UW-Whitewater. In 1955, they began their married life of more than 66 years together. Kenny was always good at building and fixing things and held a variety of jobs before moving to the Twin Cities. He worked construction for many years before he eventually started his own company. He was a builder and handyman for hundreds of customers, who were always appreciative of his work ethic, craftsmanship and willingness to go out of his way to help with anything. Kenny and Lorna joined North Heights in 1963, where he was a dedicated servant with a love for the Lord. The friends he made there have been an integral part of his life ever since. In 1988, he built their dream home in Shoreview, where they spent 31 years. Eventually, physical limitations led him to leave the construction business and take a maintenance position at North Heights, where he spent the last ten years before retiring. Throughout his life he treasured time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life. His kind, gentle spirit will be remembered and missed by anyone who met him.
